Meet Pocky — Nervous but Noble, Sweet as Can Be Pocky also comes to us as an owner surrender, from the same home as Rocket, Gibby, and Titas — and just like his “brothers,” he is now searching for his forever family and home. This adorable tricolor beagle/hound mix weighs 29.80 pounds and is quite the nervous guy. Much like his siblings, he doesn't love the leash, but he actually seems to do better on it than they do — progress already. Despite his nerves, Pocky warms up quickly. Even during his exams, where he was clearly scared and even cowered at times, he allowed everything like a total champ. Our vet team always takes their time with nervous pups, adjusting to each “patient” based on their comfort level. Some come in ready for treats… others, like sweet Pocky, need a little extra reassurance. Pocky is looking for a family who will give him the consistency, grace, and forever love he deserves. He previously lived with other dogs and did great. We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit. We do not have information on how he does with cats and cannot test for this. Come meet this soon-to-be leash pro (we just know it) at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville.
