Meet JJ — Bouncy, Playful, and Ready for Forever This handsome fellow was spotted running loose with a canine friend by a concerned citizen who called Dispatch. One of our Animal Control Officers responded and found the two stray buddies happily frolicking in a field between two businesses. When no owner could be located and neither pup had a microchip, they were brought to the shelter to keep them safe while waiting to be reclaimed. With no chip and no ID tag, JJ completed his full stray hold with us and was featured on our website as all strays are — but sadly, no one ever came to reclaim him. Since arriving, JJ has tested with a slightly larger spayed female. Though a little hesitant at first, he quickly showed his true personality: all bounces and zooms. He would sniff his new friend, then zoom around her — sniff, zoom, repeat. It was adorable and entertaining to watch. His canine friend who arrived with him (LJ/A318677) was also very playful, and the two clearly shared a joyful bond. We always recommend meet and greets with both dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure the best fit for everyone. This sweet, friendly boy is ready to leave stray life behind and begin a new chapter as a cherished family member. Come meet him in person to see if he's meant to be part of your family. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish veterinary care after adopting. Please bring a collar and leash, or you can purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.
