Meet LJ — Gentle, Playful, and Ready for His Forever Family Meet JJ's canine friend from their field-frolicking adventure — it's LJ! This sweet boy was found running loose with JJ by a concerned citizen who called Dispatch. When our Animal Control Officer arrived, the two buddies were happily zooming around a field between two businesses. With no owner in sight and no microchips or ID tags on either pup, both were brought to the shelter to keep them safe. LJ completed his full stray hold with us and was featured on our website, as all strays are — but sadly, no one came to reclaim him. Since arriving, LJ has met a slightly larger spayed female and was more reserved than JJ during introductions. This gentle boy let his new friend jump all over him with no issues at all — such a polite little gentleman. Of course, he and JJ were super playful together as well; those frolics were absolutely real. We always recommend meet and greets with both dogs and children to ensure the best fit. LJ is ready to leave stray life behind and begin his next chapter as a cherished family member. Come meet him in person to see if he's meant to be part of your family. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish veterinary care after adopting. Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to take your new family member home safely.
