He is a medium energy guy who loves chasing toys around the yard, running his zoomies out, and then soaking up every bit of attention his people will give him. He is looking for a patient, loving home ready to help him continue to blossom outside of shelter life. After a proper intro, Jackson loves having dog friends to play with and has come a long way in learning to give other dogs space and take their cues. His enthusiastic and playful personality would do best with dog-savvy kids who can provide some structure and boundaries around initial interactions. Jackson is a brilliant boy who already knows sit and wait and is working on lay, nearly getting it down with a little treat guidance. He is mostly crate trained and settles in well overnight and throughout the day. As a dog who spent most of his life in a shelter, Jackson is still learning the ropes of home life and does best on a consistent routine with patience and structure. He is working on his potty training and continues to make great progress every week. He walks well on leash and is learning to give to pressure and follow his handler's lead.
