Meet Maris Maris is a tiny 5-pound, 10-year-old Chihuahua who was brought to the Humane Society by a kind Samaritan after being found as a stray. We don't know how she ended up alone, but we're determined to make sure the rest of her life is filled with love, comfort, and security. Maris can be very shy when meeting new people and needs time to decompress and adjust to new surroundings. She isn't the type of dog who will immediately jump into your lap, but if you're willing to give her the patience and understanding she deserves, you'll discover an incredibly sweet and loving little companion. Once Maris feels safe and begins to trust, her gentle personality shines through. She enjoys the simple things in life—a cozy bed, a quiet home, and someone to love her for exactly who she is. Maris is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines , and she will receive a dental through the rescue before adoption.
