Cocoa (the black-and-white piggie) and Sunny (the brown mixed-color piggie) are both such sweet girls and are really starting to come out of their shells! After a concerned citizen found these two abandoned near Hiniker Pond, she reached out to MSAR for assistance. I’m so glad she did. These girls were clearly someone’s beloved pets at one point, as they are very comfortable being handled and don’t seem to mind being petted—especially Sunny, who is always happy to soak up some extra attention. They seem pretty young! They absolutely love their fresh veggies and enjoy a well-balanced diet of guinea pig pellets along with fresh vegetables twice daily. Their veggie mix typically includes cilantro, celery, bell peppers, romaine lettuce, and carrots. They’ve even enjoyed the occasional special treat of watermelon. Both girls are doing wonderfully as they continue to gain confidence and let their personalities shine. They are curious, gentle, sweet, and overall just absolutely adorable.
