Hey there! My name is Chubby Checkers, and if you're looking for a big personality wrapped up in a handsome American Bully package, I might just be your guy. I'm about 2½ years old, 65 pounds of love, energy, and enthusiasm, and I'm searching for a forever family that understands dogs like me. I love going for walks, playing with my toys, working on enrichment activities, and chewing on my favorite treats. After a busy day, you'll usually find me curled up in my crate with my beloved blanket. It's my safe place, and honestly, I think every dog deserves a cozy spot to call their own. My foster family says I'm playful, goofy, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure. I love being with my people and forming strong bonds with those I trust. Because I'm a strong boy with lots of excitement for life, I do best with someone who can provide structure, consistency, and clear guidance. I'm fully potty trained, crate trained, and have been working hard on my leash skills. Now, let's talk about what I'm looking for. I'd do best in a home with teenagers or adults only. I need an experienced adopter who understands that I can get excited and sometimes jump up when I'm happy. I also have some resource guarding tendencies with food and toys, but with proper management and leadership, it's something I continue to work on successfully. I may do best as your one-and-only canine companion, though I do enjoy yhe company of my canine foster brother who is a calm, neutral dog who respects my space. A cat-free home would be best for me. I've been waiting in rescue for TWO YEARS. That's a long time to watch other dogs find their families while I keep hoping my turn will come. But I haven't given up. I have so much love to give and so much life left to live. All I need is someone willing to see the amazing dog behind my big personality.
