About

Honeydukes has spent 223 days at ACSKC. Before you start wondering what's wrong with her, let us save you some time: Absolutely nothing. Honeydukes arrived as a young kitten and promptly got caught in the shelter equivalent of a traffic jam. First came an upper respiratory infection. Then came ringworm quarantine. By the time all of that was behind her, months had passed. Meanwhile, Honeydukes was busy growing up. What started as a shy little kitten has blossomed into an affectionate, playful young cat who has discovered that people are actually pretty wonderful. Pet her once, and you'll be rewarded with an instant purr. Stop petting her too soon, and she may gently place a paw on your hand to let you know that your services are still required. At just 9 months old, Honeydukes is still very much a kitten. She loves to play, enjoys the company of other cats, and has somehow managed to fit a whole lot of personality into a very tiny head. We've spent 223 days watching Honeydukes grow from a tiny kitten into a beautiful young cat. We'd really like to stop watching and see her go home. Honeyduke's adoption fee is $0, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1 Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _ When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! ACSKC Health Care for Each Adopted Pet Includes: Dogs: Preventatives for parasites, vaccines (Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip, behavioral assessment. Cats: Parasite treatment, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming for kittens, vaccines (Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip. What You’ll Take Home: Toys, treats, and food sample Rabies tag, microchip number, and medical records A “Pet Pal Packet” with feeding info, training tips, and guidance for helping your new pet adjust
