Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet River! Some cats spend their days seeking attention. This handsome brown tabby seems to spend his days giving love right back! Found as a stray, it’s hard to believe he wasn’t once someone’s cherished companion. He is far too comfortable with affection, far too trusting, and far too loving to have spent his life on his own. While we will never know how he ended up fending for himself, what we do know is that he hasn’t let his past change the sweet, gentle cat he is today. This wonderful boy is a true love bug. He happily accepts kisses, enjoys being carried around, and thinks laps were made specifically for him. Quiet by nature but never shy, River is the kind of companion who doesn’t need to be the center of attention to steal your heart. He simply settles beside you, gazes at you with those soulful eyes, and makes every day feel warmer. He is incredibly affectionate and gets along well with other cats and children, making him an easy addition to many families. When he is not soaking up love from his people, you’ll often find him happily wrestling with his beloved catnip kickstick, which brings out River’s playful side. He deserves a family who will treasure him the way he treasures every bit of affection he’s given. Somewhere out there is the person he has been waiting for - the one who will finally make sure that being abandoned is only a chapter in his story, not the ending! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
