06/02/26 14:10 In need of urgent rescue due to behavior associated with frustration. Chico, previously known as Guardian, is displaying jumping and mouthing behaviors. This can be expected of his breed and is trainable in a controlled environment. But this level of training is not achievable in a shelter setting. 03/20/26 14:40 Guardian has displayed some frustration associated with a kennel environment that is considered as expected for Malinois breeds, however, not ideal. Placed on needs rescue status. MH Guardian is a happy, people-loving guy who's always excited to get out and explore! He's easy to leash up, walks out of his kennel with a wagging tail, and happily nudges your hand for more pets if you stop. He enjoys chasing a ball, exploring the yard, and checking out the world around him. Guardian shows friendly curiosity toward other dogs and people. He's still working on his manners — he can pull on leash, gets a little jumpy when excited, and may mouth at clothing — but he responds to verbal cues and is eager to learn. With some basic training and consistency, this affectionate, enthusiastic boy will make a fun and devoted companion.
