Joey is estimated to be between 7 years old and 19 pounds of love! Joey lived in a colony in South Slope, Brooklyn for 6 years. When developers began to work on the long-abandoned lot his colony lived in, his feeders flagged him for being friendly enough to come inside. He comes running at the sound of a cracked can, makes biscuits almost immediately after being picked up into your arms, and would be the perfect cat for a slow, quiet home. Joey purrs loudly within minutes of being pet and treats send him into a trance! He isn't very interested in playing (though could maybe be tempted) and deserves to live out his golden years on a safe, warm spot on your couch. He’s the perfect binge-watching buddy and wants nothing more to stretch out, tummy up, in your loving home! He lived with his fellow colony cats for years and was known to climb into a winter shelter to snuggle up with his friends. Sometimes, other cats would beat up on Joey, but he never fought back (even if he should have!). We believe he will defer to other cats and would be just as happy with a buddy as he would with just you. Joey is a lover, not a fighter.
