About

Manhattan Bound (Manny for short) is a 1.5 year old grey-white male with a loving personality and lots of character. He took barely a day to adapt to his foster home, and after that it was like he’d been living there for years. Manny is a snuggle monster - if you’re on the couch or in bed, count on him jumping up just to see what’s going on and get some head rubs. He might stay and fall asleep on your lap or he might move on, but he’s never far away. Manny is also a very chatty young man, especially if you’re up and walking around - he’s extremely food-motivated and assumes that “my human is walking near my bowl” means “time for some food for Manny.” When you walk in the door after being gone he’ll extricate himself from wherever he was napping, do a big stretch, then walk over while giving you a series of mrowwwws (presumably to tell you about his day). Basically if you’re looking for an aloof cat who doesn’t really want or need your attention, Manny is not your guy. He’s very well behaved - always uses the litterbox, barely ever scratches at furniture (and will stop if you tell him no), has never scratched/bitten me, and generally just likes to chill with you and look out the window (except for like once or twice a day when he gets the zoomies, impossible to predict when). A few of his likes and dislikes to give you a flavor of what it’s like to live with Manny: LIKES: Head/chin scritches Chit-chatting (e.g. “mrrrow?” “mrowwwww”) Wet food The fishing rod toy with the stuffed mouse on the end Sitting in the window and Monitoring The Situation Churru tubes Being told that he’s just a tiny soft kitty (assumption by me, but I stand by it) Sneaking onto the kitchen counter when he thinks I’m not looking Sprinting full speed into a different room with zero prompting once or twice a day DISLIKES: The hours between kitty meal times Closed bathroom doors Dry food (sort of - he’ll still eat it eventually but he might be a little grumpy about it) The neighbor’s cats hanging out in the backyard even though he’s not allowed outside Humans paying attention to the computer instead of him (he walked on my keyboard twice as I was typing this) He’s a delightful cat and you’ll love him. Full of personality and as cuddly as a kitty gets. This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.
