Say hello to Dottie, the 3‑month‑old Rottweiler mix who’s basically a walking ray of sunshine. She traveled from Georgia to find her people, and even though we don’t know her backstory, she’s made it clear she’s all about love, cuddles, and making new friends. While waiting to be fixed, Dottie stayed in a foster home where she learned the ropes of living with big dogs, small dogs, and even cats. She’s also kid‑friendly — just still in that “oops, I use my mouth to explore everything” puppy stage, especially with little ones at her height. Nothing a bit of training and time won’t smooth out. She may look small in her pictures, but don’t be fooled — she’s growing fast. Still, for a Rottweiler mix pup, she’s on the petite side, so her mix is anyone’s guess. What we do know is she’s 100% adorable. Because Dottie is a high‑energy, still‑developing Puppy, she will do best in a home that can keep up with her activity level, play needs, and ongoing socialization. We are looking for adopters who are comfortable with a very active youngster and able to provide consistent interaction, enrichment, and supervision. Dottie's adoption fee is $200, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1 Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
