She’s quiet, loving, and happiest when she’s following her person around like a little shadow. Must have: A calm, quiet home; someone patient; someone home often; gentle handling, ONLY DOG Exercise: Low to moderate — daily strolls and peaceful time outside. Best with: Adults or older kids; calm households; someone who wants a loyal, velcro companion. Not ideal for: Busy homes, loud environments, or homes with pushy/rough dogs. Energy level: Low to medium — mellow, soft, and content with simple routines. Sunny is affectionate, intelligent, and eager to please. She warms up after a minute and becomes incredibly loving. She’s good with large dogs, selective with small dogs, and shy with men at first. She’s crate trained, working on house training, and does beautifully with grooming and vet handling when approached gently. Good with dogs: Yes — but Sunny does not want to share a home with another dog! She loves playing with them outside of her home! Good with kids: Sunny was good with her previous families' kids but did have an instance in an overwhelming situation where she nipped at two kids she did not know. We would take not recommend her as the first choice for children. Cats: Unknown - We can cat test her! Fun fact: Sunny LOVES to follow her person everywhere — she’s the definition of a velcro dog and will happily be your peaceful little shadow all day long. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
