If you're looking for a gentle giant in the making, Bubba is your guy! This 5-month-old Lab/Pitbull mix is already 33 pounds and is expected to grow into a large, strong dog. With his heart of gold and endless love for people, Bubba is the ultimate cuddle bug who never turns down snuggles or affection. Bubba is more than just a handsome face, he's incredibly smart and eager to please. He loves learning new things, listens well, and is already working hard on his puppy manners. Whether he's chasing a ball during a game of fetch, carrying around his favorite stuffed toy, or showing off a new skill, Bubba thrives when he has a job to do and people to make proud. As a typical puppy, Bubba is active, playful, and full of energy. He's doing great with crate training, happily sleeps in his crate overnight, and is making excellent progress with housetraining with regular access to the yard. One of Bubba's most charming quirks is the hilarious collection of sounds he makes when he's excited and ready to play. He also has a healed broken tail that gives him a little extra character, though it doesn't bother him at all. Because Bubba is destined to be a big boy, his ideal forever home is one that is prepared for the reality of a large, strong dog and is committed to helping him become the best companion he can be. He would love a home where someone is around most of the day to help with his puppy routine, continued training, and, of course, plenty of snuggles. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
