TITAN was surrendered to the rescue through no fault of his own and he’s now searching for his forever family. He’s neutered, has a microchip and his annual and rabies vaccines are due by the end of June, which we are willing to get for him. He had a full blood panel done and he tested negative for all tick borne diseases but his chemistry levels showed a slightly elevated liver reading and signs of Pancreatitis which our vet feels are both to do with him being over weight. He’s very overweight right now by at least 20lbs so his adopter must be committed to getting him slimmed down by taking him on several short walks daily and feeding him a low-fat, high protein kibble. He’s a super friendly guy who loves to be with his human and he’ll follow her around everywhere she goes. He’s a very happy soul and he loves to meet new people and they’re always met with a wagging tail. TITAN is crate trained and will sleep in it but does prefer to sleep on a blanket that came with him. He does sleep soundly at night and he’s not awake again until about 7am. He’s house trained and will ask to go outside for a bathroom break. He lived with another dog at one point and he’s currently in a foster home with a small dog and they get along well together. As far as we know he’s never met a cat so if there’s one in the home it should be dog savvy and a slow monitored introduction made while he’s kept leashed. He was just groomed and he’s had regular grooming since he was a puppy. He’ll need regular grooming and should get it done every 8 to 10 weeks. TITAN’s ideal home is one that is quiet and doesn’t have too much excitement going on. Leisurely walks are what’s on his agenda but he will need several a day to help get his weight down. We’re not sure if he’s spent much time around children so we are saying 12yrs and up and they should be gentle, loving and caring. A fenced in yard would be good for him so he can play outside and be kept safe. If TITAN sounds like he’ll fit in with your family and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.
