About

HARPER (watch my video!) Female (puppy) DOB 3/6/26 Cattledog/Husky Mix 18 lbs. and growing Microchipped and up-to-date on core vaccines Good with dogs, cats and kids Meet Harper! Harper is a sweet, affectionate puppy with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be close to her people—and her canine friends! Harper spends her days romping and wrestling with her foster siblings, especially the other puppy, the doodle, and the toy terrier. She absolutely loves being part of the pack and can often be found chewing on a favorite bone, antler, or beef cheek while sitting right next to her dog and cat friends. She completely ignores the cats even when they're right next to her! When the weather is nice, she enjoys spending time outside helping "Nana" in the garden and exploring the fenced yard. Harper is still working on her potty training and will need a patient, consistent family committed to helping her continue making progress. She currently goes outside every 2–3 hours and responds to the cue "go potty." Because she's still learning, her ideal adopter will understand that accidents are part of the puppy process and will use positive reinforcement to help her succeed. Crate training is going very well! Harper has learned that her crate is a safe, comfortable place. She happily naps and relaxes in an open crate during the day and sleeps overnight in a crate setup next to her foster parents' bed. She also eats her meals in her crate which is a great way to continue positive associations with the crate. She enjoys mealtime with gusto and would benefit from a slow-feeder bowl since she tends to eat quickly. Like many puppies, Harper is still building confidence, preferring to stick close to her people and not wanting to be separated from them, even if they're just in another room. Her adopter should be prepared to help her gain confidence while providing structure, patience and plenty of reassurance. Harper already knows "sit" and is currently learning "stay" and "wait." She's eager to learn but can become excited and distracted, so short, positive training sessions work best. Harper forms strong bonds with the people she loves. She's a loving, cuddly, energetic puppy who will flourish with a family willing to invest time, patience and consistency into her training. In return, she'll reward them with endless affection, entertaining puppy antics and a loyal companion who always wants to be by their side. Harper's adopters will be required to sign a spay/neuter addendum (including paying a refundable $100 spay/neuter fee) and a training addendum as part of the adoption contract.
