She forms strong bonds quickly and loves being part of her family's daily life, earning her the title of a true "Velcro dog." Sweet, affectionate, and intelligent, Sugar enjoys spending time with her people whether that means relaxing at home, going for walks, or joining in on everyday activities. She has a gentle nature with those she trusts and thrives on companionship and connection. Like many Australian Shepherds, Sugar is happiest when she has structure, consistency, and opportunities to stay mentally and physically engaged. She enjoys being active and appreciates having a job to do, even if that job is simply keeping a close eye on her favorite humans. Sugar does best with clear boundaries and a home that respects her preferences. She enjoys the company of dogs her size and larger but is not a match for homes with cats, small animals, livestock, or very small dogs. She would also be happiest in a home without young children.
