French Bulldogs are known for being affectionate, people oriented, and irresistibly charming, with a big personality packed into a compact little body. They thrive on human companionship, love to cuddle, and are happiest when they can be close to their favorite people. With their expressive faces and sweet temperaments, they make wonderfully loyal companions who bring warmth and humor to daily life. Their ideal home is one that offers steady companionship, gentle structure, and plenty of love. Because they bond deeply with their humans, Frenchies do best in households where they aren’t left alone for long stretches and can enjoy regular leashed walks and cozy downtime. They’re typically low energy but appreciate short, moderate outings throughout the day. A calm, attentive home where they can be the center of affection is where a French Bulldog truly shines. What to Love about Zues: He is super friendly, loves everyone he meets, and wants nothing more than to play, snuggle, and be the center of someone’s world. Zues is great in the car, curling up in the seat to rest, and he sleeps soundly in his crate at night. His potty training is going well with consistency and routine, and although he sometimes wears diapers and prefers to hide when he poops outside — likely a leftover habit from his previous bowel issues — he’s recovering beautifully from his anal prolapse surgery. Zues does well when left alone in his crate, but he is happiest when his people are home and would thrive with a family that’s around often and ready to include him in their adventures! He loves going everywhere with you – breweries, the park, or a backyard barbecue! He has been wonderful with kids, though his excited jumping means he’d do best with older children he can’t accidentally knock over. Zues loves all dogs, plays politely, and even ignored the cat in his foster home. With medium energy, he’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly — ready for a romp and just as ready for a nap on the couch beside you. He walks well on a leash and is polite when meeting new dog friends. Zues would do especially well with a family familiar with Frenchies, but he’s open to anyone who will love him as wholeheartedly as he loves them! Zues’s Zippy Highlights: Super friendly sweetheart — loves every person he meets and soaks up attention Playful snuggler — wants to play with everyone, then curl up for cuddles Great car rider — settles in the seat and rests calmly during rides Crate trained — sleeps in his crate at night and stays content when left alone Potty training in progress — improving steadily with routine and consistency Adventure‑ready companion — would thrive with a family who takes him out and about Dog‑friendly socialite — loves other dogs and plays politely Cat‑respectful pup — ignored the cat in his foster home Medium‑energy buddy — playful and fun, then happy to nap and snuggle Best with older kids — great with children but may be too bouncy for little ones Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
