Adventure buddy. Fetch champion. Professional cuddle enthusiast. Crouton is the kind of dog who is always ready for whatever the day has in store. Whether it's hitting the hiking trail, going for a run, or spending an afternoon playing fetch in the backyard, this playful guy is happiest when he's included in the fun. Fetch is Crouton's favorite game, and he'll happily chase a tennis ball, bring it right back, and wait for you to throw it again. He's also wonderful on leash and does great walking with either a collar or harness, making him a great companion for daily adventures. Crouton is an excellent travel buddy, too. He rides calmly in the car and is usually content curling up for a nap while you drive. After a day of exploring, he's just as happy relaxing by your side and soaking up some well-earned cuddles. His foster family has been impressed with his house manners. Crouton seems to be fully potty trained, has had no accidents, and isn't destructive. He does think socks and shoes are pretty exciting if they're left within reach, but otherwise he's a respectful housemate. Brave, playful, and easygoing, Crouton is ready to find a person or family who wants a loyal companion for both adventures and quiet nights at home. They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
