Meet Laney – The Total Package Laney is a 3-year-old mixed breed who weighs 61 pounds and has quickly proven herself to be an amazing companion. She is house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on leash, and has a wonderful mix of playful energy and cuddle-bug charm. While she can be a little reserved at first, Laney warms up quickly and becomes a friendly, affectionate shadow who loves being near her people. She enjoys playing fetch, chewing on toys, Kongs, and long-lasting bones, and showing off her impressive zoomies. She knows "sit" and is currently learning "down" and "stay," proving she's a smart girl who loves to learn. Laney is happiest when she's included in whatever you're doing, whether that's going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing on the couch. She can get a little mouthy during play when she's excited, but she's a quick learner and is already making great progress. Although we haven't formally dog tested her, she has been unfazed by other dogs at the shelter and on walks. She hasn't been around children in our care, but given her friendly and social personality, we think she'd likely do well with respectful kids. Described as friendly, adaptable, happy, playful, quiet, and loyal, Laney is an all-around wonderful dog looking for a family to call her own. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
