This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Trixie is a four year old, 12 pound Chihuahua mix with a smooth tan coat, the most expressive eyes you have ever seen on a dog, and a devoted habit of following you everywhere because, in her opinion, that is simply where she belongs. This sweet, low energy girl is a true cuddle bug who is happiest curled up beside you for as long as you will allow it. Trixie is on a potty schedule and doing great, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, and is becoming more comfortable on a leash every single day. She also does well on car rides and is picking up the commands of "come" and "sit". She knows treats are basically the best thing in existence and will do anything for one, and she loves nothing more than soaking up the sunshine while watching butterflies and bumblebees in the garden. She lives happily with a cat and is completely cat neutral, having recently shared a sweet nose to nose hello with her feline housemate. Trixie shares a special bond with her mom, Libby, and the two enjoy gentle romps together before settling in for some well earned relaxation. Trixie would do best in an adult home or one with older children, where she can enjoy a calm and easygoing pace of life surrounded by love. This happy, quiet, and affectionate girl is ready to find her person and her forever home, ideally alongside her bonded companion Libby. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
