She enjoys spending time with her people and thrives on companionship and affection. Alaana is the type of dog who enjoys being part of the family, whether that's relaxing at home, joining you for walks, or simply being nearby throughout the day. As a Terrier mix , Alaana may show traits such as: Intelligence and eagerness to learn Loyal and affectionate companionship Playful but manageable energy Curiosity and engagement with her surroundings Strong bonds with her family Terrier mixes are often adaptable, loving companions who thrive with structure, interaction, and positive reinforcement. Alaana would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and walks Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to her physical and emotional well-being She would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loving dog with a sweet disposition and loyal heart. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even friendly and well-adjusted dogs benefit from continued guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement after adoption. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Alaana will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule : 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, rescue dogs like Alaana blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Alaana will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Alaana thrive in her future home. Alaana is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
