About

Meet Lentil Female DOB: November 29, 2025 Weight: 13 pounds Breed: Pug Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: Pending (age-appropriate) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Lentil is an adorable young Pug mix puppy with a sweet personality, playful energy, and affectionate nature. At only 6 months old, she is still learning about the world around her and enjoys cuddles, companionship, playtime, and exploring new experiences with curiosity and excitement. She has the happy, silly puppy energy that Pugs are known for while also loving closeness and attention from her humans. Lentil is at a wonderful age where her personality is blossoming, and she is learning more every day through positive experiences, structure, and routine. As a Pug mix , Lentil may show traits such as: A loving, people-oriented personality Playful and affectionate energy Strong emotional bonds with family Social and companion-focused behavior A desire to be included in everyday activities Pug mixes are often deeply devoted companions who thrive when they are part of the family and receive plenty of affection, interaction, and companionship. Lentil would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily companionship and interaction Structure, consistency, and routine Positive socialization and enrichment A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Puppies are adorable, but they are also a major responsibility requiring patience, supervision, training, and long-term commitment throughout every stage of life. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even young puppies require significant guidance and supervision to properly learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Puppies are not automatically trained simply because they are young. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, basic structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue all training and development after adoption. Adopting a puppy means being prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing phases Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Jumping, barking, and playful puppy behavior Ongoing socialization and confidence-building Daily exercise, enrichment, and structure Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Financial commitment throughout the dog's lifetime Because Lentil is still very young and small, extra care should also be taken around: Larger animals Rough play Stairs and jumping Unsafe chewing hazards Open doors or unsecured outdoor spaces Lentil will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, puppies like Lentil grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Lentil will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because Lentil is a Pug mix, adopters should also be mindful of overheating during warm weather and maintain a healthy weight to support her long-term health. Lentil is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
