Barley is a lucky bird as far as a hawk-struck-slamming-into-a-window pigeon could be. She escaped with fairly little injuries but is a scared little bird. She spent the night outside in a cardboard box because her rescuers thought she would fly off once she felt better. She eluded a hawk and then night-time predators.
