About

VALLEY Female ~3 years old Pit Bull Terrier 40 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with dogs; untested with kids; fascinated with cats Valley's story could have had a very different ending. She was brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan who witnessed someone dumping her from a van in a public park. Despite that heartbreaking experience, Valley hasn't lost her faith in people. In fact, she absolutely adores them. Looking for a dog who understands the concept of personal space? Great, because Valley absolutely does not, and we love her for it. At 3 years old, Valley is the ultimate mix of sweet, goofy, and endlessly affectionate. She might technically be an adult, but she is still rocking that vibrant puppy energy and is ready to bring a whole lot of life (and love) into her forever home. The Quick Stats: *Age: 3 years young *House Trained: Yes! (A certified good girl who knows the rules) *Crate Trained: Yes! She sleeps soundly in her crate at night. *Leash Manners: Reasonably good! She’s a solid walking partner. *Cling Level: Category 5 Clingy. If you are moving, she is moving. If you sit down, she is there. Why You’ll Fall in Love with Valley: *The Ultimate Cuddle Monster: Valley doesn't just want to be near you; she wants to be a part of you. Her favorite pastime is turning her humans into personal pillows. When it’s bedtime or couch time, expect a warm, sweet pup melting right into your side. *A Dramatic (But Brief) Goodbye: Because she loves her people so much, she will vocalize her FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) with some barks and cries when you first leave the house. But don't let the guilt get to you—she quickly settles down and relaxes once the initial goodbye is over. *Social & Overly Friendly: Valley absolutely loves other dogs. In fact, her enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit "overly friendly," because she just wants everyone to be her best friend right away! Dogs who do not know how to correct behavior they don't like will probably not appreciate Valley. *The Cat Conundrum: She is fascinated by feline friends. While she hasn't hurt a cat, her playful energy can be a bit much for them. She’ll need a confident cat sibling who doesn't mind a dog who is constantly trying to invite them to a playtime party. Ideal Home: Valley is a remarkably sweet girl who simply wants to be part of the family. She would thrive in a home that appreciates her affectionate, Velcro-dog personality, understands that goodbyes may come with a little temporary protest, and is ready to welcome a dog who loves with her whole heart. Valley isn't looking for perfection—just people to call her own. If you're ready for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing, shower you with affection, and make sure you never feel alone, Valley is waiting to meet you. Interested in adopting?
