Meet Leia Leia is the kind of dog who reminds you just how resilient and loving animals can be. This sweet terrier mix is around 8–10 months old and weighs about 25 pounds — the perfect medium-sized companion for adventures, couch cuddles, and everything in between. Despite an unimaginably cruel start to life, Leia’s heart remains completely full of love. Leia was found abandoned in a known dumping area with a gunshot wound to her neck. Thankfully, she received the medical care she desperately needed and has made an incredible recovery. Today, you’d never know the pain she endured by the way she greets the world — with gentleness, trust, and a constantly wagging tail. She adores everyone she meets: men, women, children, and other dogs alike. Leia has a calm, affectionate nature and seems happiest simply being close to her people. Whether she’s soaking up attention, making new dog friends, or curling up beside you after a long day, Leia is just grateful to be loved. What she’s been through could have broken her spirit, but instead, it revealed just how special she truly is. Leia deserves a family who will show her that the rest of her life will be safe, joyful, and filled with love. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
