Ivy Love is a 5-year-old female mixed-breed dog weighing 32 lbs. She is currently carrying some extra weight, but with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and an active lifestyle, she is already on her way to becoming her best self. Ivy was a beloved neighborhood dog in an apartment community, where she was known, adored (and...treated, hence some extra pounds!) by many residents. Unfortunately, when her owner had to move, Ivy found herself in need of a new home. If you're looking for an easy, cheerful companion who already knows how to be a great dog, Ivy deserves a spot at the top of your list. She is fully house-trained, has excellent house manners, and is quiet, clean, and trustworthy in the home. While she is comfortable in a crate, she doesn't require one and can be trusted to behave appropriately when given freedom in the house. Ivy is exceptionally smart and attentive. She's the kind of dog who seems to understand conversations and enjoys being included in daily life. She loves people, gets along wonderfully with children, and is friendly with other dogs. She shows no leash reactivity and is a pleasure to walk. Whether it's a neighborhood stroll, a hiking trail, or an outing to a dog-friendly destination, Ivy is happiest when she's out exploring the world with her people. Because of her intelligence and social nature, Ivy thrives on both mental and physical stimulation. She would love a family that enjoys walks, adventures, and including their dog in everyday activities. While she certainly enjoys relaxing at home, she's not looking for a couch-potato lifestyle. Ivy is ready to embrace a healthier, more active future and would love a family to share it with. Ivy Love combines the best qualities of a companion dog: affectionate, cheerful, adaptable, intelligent, and easy to live with. She is the kind of dog who fits naturally into a family and quickly becomes everyone's favorite.
