About

Meet Orca! Orca is a sweet 14-year-old black and white lady who is ready to find a calm, loving forever home to spend her golden years. With her classic tuxedo coloring and gentle eyes, she has a quiet elegance and a tender spirit that shines through once she feels safe. This senior girl enjoys the simple comforts in life — soft beds, warm sunspots, and peaceful company. Orca is affectionate in a gentle, unhurried way and appreciates kind pets and quiet companionship more than anything. At 14, Orca is looking for a home that will understand her need for comfort and routine, where she can relax and be cherished as a beloved family member. In return, she offers steady companionship and the soft, comforting presence only a senior cat can give. Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
