Saara’s world was turned upside down when the person she loved dearly suffered a stroke and could no longer care for her. After several happy years in a loving home, this sweet senior girl has found herself back at Heartland through no fault of her own. Now, Saara is hoping for one more forever family to spend her golden years with. This beautiful long-haired dilute tortie is as soft as they come — her silky fur practically begs to be petted, and she absolutely melts into affection. Saara is a tiny purr machine who loves quiet companionship and cozy bonding time with her person. Whether it’s curling up beside you on the couch, keeping you company while you read, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon nap nearby, Saara is happiest just being close to the human she loves. She does have one adorably wonky ear from an untreated ear infection before she was rescued years ago, but honestly, we think it only makes her even more charming and unique. Saara would thrive in a calm, low-key home where she can be the center of someone’s world. She would likely do best as an only pet so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She’d make a wonderful companion for an older adult or someone looking for a gentle, devoted best friend to share life’s quieter moments with. Senior cats have so much love left to give, and Saara is proof of that. She’s ready to open her heart again — she just needs someone willing to give her that chance.
