About

Popsicle is the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet, timid boy may take a little time to fully warm up, but even while he’s figuring things out, his tail is usually wagging softly the whole time. He has a quiet, sensitive nature and seems happiest simply being near his people, soaking in comfort and reassurance at his own pace. Right now, Popsicle is still settling into foster care and learning that he’s safe. He’s been very calm and quiet so far, isn’t interested in playing yet, and mostly keeps to himself around the other dogs in the home. Popsicle previously lived in a home with several other dogs, but can be uncomfortable with other dogs in high stress situations, so would need proper introductions. He appears to be potty trained, though he’s still adjusting to his new environment and routine. Popsicle will thrive with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and who can give him the gentle encouragement and space he needs to come out of his shell. Beneath his shy exterior is a very sweet little dog who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and close to his people. They were rescued from a kill shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
