Meet Skylar! If you're looking for a Husky in a fun-sized package, Skylar is your guy. This handsome boy is petite for the breed, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in sweetness. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for Skylar, and he's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. While some dogs spend playgroup racing around with their canine buddies, Skylar's favorite activity is finding a trusted human and planting himself right on their feet for comfort. It's impossible not to be charmed by his gentle nature and desire to be close to his people. Skylar walks beautifully on leash and enjoys quiet strolls where he can take in the sights at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he's affectionate and eager for reassurance from the people he trusts.This sensitive soul is searching for a calm, patient family willing to give him the time he needs to build confidence. A friendly, well-balanced dog companion may also help show him that life doesn't have to be so intimidating. Skylar isn't looking for a family to change who he is—he's looking for one that will help him discover just how brave he can be. If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and understand that the best relationships are built on trust, Skylar may be the perfect addition to your home. Skylar recently met some social dogs at our shelter and was a little scared of them. He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
