About

Beary is a 4.5 year old RetreiverShepherd mix. He takes his time warming up to people, but is a very affectionate and intelligent dog! He has completed training courses with ease and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, down, leave it, spin, shake, “wait” before jumping in or out of a car, and “climb” for staying on an elevated pet bed. He’s house trained and crate trained and is eager to please. Beary loves the outdoors, walks, fetch, and has played on agility equipment, but his favorite place is wherever you are! He also loves snuggle time and will be your #1 cuddle bug. While Beary is a very good boy, he would do best in a home without any other dogs or young children. He does not like to share his toys or his beds with other dogs, but does well at parks or in outside places around others. He also picks and chooses his people, but will warm up with gentle patience and treats. Once he decides you’re a friend, he will enthusiastically give you all his love! Beary would do best in a quiet home without other animals or children for him to worry about. He wants to receive all the love of the home, and is a very good boy who would thrive with someone looking for an active, well-trained best friend. Beary’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
