This pup will be available to meet starting on 5/30 Meet Damien, the goofy poolside heartthrob who somehow manages to be both the class clown and the best boy in the room all at once. This handsome shepherd mix is packed full of puppy joy, adventure buddy energy, and enough kisses to rival a stadium kiss cam… and honestly? He’s got a much better success rate than a certain Coldplay concert. Damien is the kind of dog who wakes up every day ready to make life fun. Fetch? Absolutely. Splashing in the kiddie pool? Elite athlete behavior. Zooming around the yard with dog friends? His favorite pastime. He LOVES other dogs big and small, shares toys beautifully, takes treats politely alongside other pups, and has been known to hand out sweet kisses to his canine buddies like it’s his full-time job. Social butterfly status: achieved. This goofy guy walks well on leash, is kennel/crate trained, and would thrive in an active home that’s ready for adventures, hikes, lake days, backyard fetch marathons, and maybe a kiddie pool or two. He’s silly, playful, affectionate, and guaranteed to keep you smiling with his contagious happiness and giant grin. Just look at that face standing proudly in his little pool like he pays the mortgage there. Damien was adopted as a puppy, but through no fault of his own, his owner could no longer care for him. Now he’s hoping his next home will be his forever one — the kind where he’ll be cherished, spoiled, included in all the adventures, and loved like family for the rest of his life. They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
