Mequite is an outgoing, very friendly male puppy. His past is unknown as he was found wandering with his siblings. He has done well meeting adults, and a variety of farm animals. He has really started to gain confidence in himself and people in the past few weeks, and has learned to calmly walk into the house. He has learned not use his outside energy indoors and loves to explore the house. He has a lot of excitable puppy energy and loves to zoom around the pasture early in the morning, but is able to settle very quickly for pets or treats. When he has run of the property he is likely to stay with you or come back and check in with you frequently. He also likes toys and likes to play tug. He will go and get the ball if it is thrown for him but hasn't quiet mastered bringing it back. He likes to find sticks to carry or things that look like sticks. For example, when I wasn't looking he sneakily trimmed several branches off of my small Rose of Sharon bush to carry around. He plays well with his siblings and the resident adult alpha female dog. He likes to wrestle and run with them. He will jump on you and grab your hands for attention but he is learning that if he stays off of you he might get a treat!
