We Parakeets are not only intelligent, but we also have outgoing personalities and are very social! We adapt quickly to our cage and can be quite playful. We are very dexterous and are constantly on the go. To keep us happy and healthy we need a stimulating environment with lots of activities, including climbing areas and chewing toys. Because Parakeets are social birds that live in flocks in the wild, it would be great to take me home to live with a friend or adopt another Parakeet friend for me. We will also form a close, loving bond with our human flock, and become a great friend and companion.
