Minnie is a gentle pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Meet Minnie, an 8-month-old wirehaired terrier with a tender heart and so much potential. Minnie came to us after being rescued from an animal cruelty situation, where she was passed from house to house and never truly given the chance to just be a puppy. Despite that, she is not shut down—just a little unsure, quietly taking in the world around her and learning that she’s finally safe. She may be timid at first, but there’s a sweetness in Minnie that shines through more each day. She’s especially starting to show her playful side and has discovered that toys are actually pretty fun. It’s a joy to watch her slowly come out of her shell. Minnie would do best in a home with another dog to help guide her and build her confidence. She’s looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and love she needs to fully blossom into the happy, secure dog she’s meant to be. She’s been through more than any puppy should—but her future is unwritten, and it’s going to be a beautiful one. Minnie will be fixed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. Her adoption donation is $600. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
