Meet Clarissa – The One-Eyed Wonder with Endless Charm! With her snowy white fur, adorable black patches, and one bright, expressive eye, Clarissa is impossible to forget. This spunky 8-month-old girl has been through more than most kittens her age, recently losing one of her eyes—but you’d never know it from her attitude. Clarissa hasn’t let it slow her down for even a second. She’s confident, curious, and determined to be involved in absolutely everything happening around her. If there’s excitement in the house, Clarissa is already there investigating it! Clarissa would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or playful companion, as she absolutely loves having buddies around. She’s incredibly social with other cats and kittens and gets along wonderfully with the senior dog in her foster home too. In fact, she’s become quite close with two other one-eyed foster kittens, Ham and Valerie. Her foster home is usually bustling with activity, visitors, animals, and noise, and Clarissa handles it all like a pro. She’s an easygoing girl who just wants to be part of the fun. This silly little teenager is packed with personality. She loves racing up the cat tree at lightning speed, batting toy mice around the house like soccer balls, and keeping tabs on what her humans are doing at all times. Because of her limited depth perception, she tends to prefer “soccer-style” toys over string toys—and she’s surprisingly talented at it! One of her foster family’s favorite stories is the time Clarissa snuck into a pen of baby kittens, stole some of their food, and then lovingly groomed them afterward before making her getaway. When playtime is over, Clarissa is more than happy to settle in for affection. She loves pets and, once comfortable, will happily sleep beside you in bed at night. She has no ongoing medical issues related to her eye removal and has adjusted beautifully to life as a one-eyed kitty—though she occasionally needs a quick little nose wipe. Clarissa is resilient, affectionate, playful, and full of life. She’s proof that cats don’t need perfect vision to see the joy in every single day.
