About

Meet Candy Female DOB: February 14, 2026 Weight: 9 lbs current (medium) Breed: Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: Pending (age-appropriate) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Candy is an incredibly sweet, mellow puppy with a gentle personality and a soft, loving nature. She enjoys affection, companionship, and quietly staying close to her people. While she still has playful puppy curiosity, Candy carries herself with a calmness that makes her especially comforting and easy to adore. She loves cuddles, enjoys being near her humans, and has the kind of tender personality that melts hearts quickly. Candy would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a puppy with both sweetness and a calmer temperament. As a growing Terrier mix puppy , Candy will likely mature into an intelligent, affectionate companion with playful personality and strong bonds with her family. Terrier mixes are often known for being loyal, engaging dogs full of personality and charm. Candy would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Structure and consistency Daily companionship and interaction Positive socialization and enrichment A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Puppies require significant time, patience, supervision, training, and financial responsibility as they grow and develop. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even very young puppies require significant guidance and supervision to properly learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Because of this, adopters should be prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing stages Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Ongoing socialization and structure The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, basic structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Candy will need: Positive reinforcement training Frequent potty breaks and supervision Patience and consistency Daily routine and structure Continued socialization and exposure Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, structure, and love, puppies like Candy grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Candy will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Puppies require regular veterinary care throughout their first year, including booster vaccines, wellness exams, and spay surgery when age-appropriate. Because Candy is still young, adopters should also be prepared for the normal puppy phases that come with growing and learning, including chewing, teething, accidents, and continued social development. Candy is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
