Meet Poe, a handsome Russian Blue mix with a poet's soul and a motor that never seems to stop running. This beautiful boy starts purring the moment you look his way, as if he's already decided you're a dear friend. He may offer a tiny hiss when meeting someone new—a brief note of caution from a thoughtful kitten—but it takes only moments before he's won over and asking for attention. Once Poe decides you're trustworthy, his affectionate nature shines. He loves to play, chase toys, and explore, but his favorite place in the world is curled up in a warm lap. Equal parts playful companion and professional cuddler, Poe is happiest when he's close to his people. Sweet, loving, and wonderfully well-mannered, Poe uses his litter box like a champ and is ready to bring purrs, companionship, and a little literary charm to his forever home. Poe would love to be adopted with one of his siblings, Agatha or Sherlock, but he would also thrive in a home with another playful kitty to keep him company. There is no obligation, it just starts the conversation. Did you know? Every Saturday & Sunday Frisco Humane Society has Adopt-A-Pet events at PetSmart at 3333 Preston Road, Frisco, TX. FHS has different adoptable cats there all weekend & adoption counselors on site to help, from Noon - 4 p.m. Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step: Fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs-age appropriate), FeLV/FIV test (cat/litter), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.
