Here's Your Quick Peek: Elvis has heartworms - a very light load - and our vet is recommending and monitoring Elvis on what is called the "slow kill" method. Elvis gets Triheart or Heartguard twice per month and then needs to be retested every six months to insure he is moving to negative heartworm status. Here’s Your Quick Peek: Elvis is a happy, goofy, high‑energy Beagle who was found as a stray on Jerusalem Road in Pacolet. He’s immediately friendly, loves people, toys, and other dogs, and brings joy everywhere he goes. He’s playful, curious, and full of personality. Must have: Active home; fenced yard; someone willing to continue training; heartworm prevention schedule. Exercise: Moderate — walks, playtime, exploring, and enrichment. Best with: Adults or families with older kids; homes with another friendly dog. Not ideal for: Very young children (he jumps when excited); low‑activity homes, apartment (a barker sometimes) Energy level: Medium — classic Beagle enthusiasm. Elvis is working on house training and crate training. He pulls on leash and gets jumpy when excited, but he’s eager to please and learns quickly. He’s social, affectionate, and loves being part of the action. Good with dogs: Yes — loves canine friends. Good with kids: UNK - We think Elvis would be fine with kids that are dog savvy. Cats: UNK - we can cat test him! F un fact: Elvis “sings” when he’s excited — he’s a tiny comedian with a big personality. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
