Are you looking for the ideal companion cat? Finnea may have a few years on her (who doesn’t?), but this kitty loves playing and socializing with her people. She starts out cautious and will likely take a week or two to acclimate to a new environment. Once she does though, she is a very friendly cat who enjoys pets and chin scritches. Finnea loves to curl up in your lap while you read or watch TV. She likes belly rubs too, but beware, she can eventually become overstimulated like many cats do when it comes to the sensitive belly. Finnea likes daily exercise by chasing a ball and a feather wand toy. She is a very tidy lady when eating food and using the litter box. She seems to prefer a calm environment and may not fare well in an active home with young children. I scolded her once with a light nose tap when she got a little rough with me for petting her belly, and it took another 3 days before she let me get near her again. Positive reinforcement only for this girl! Complete the online adoption application to be the first to schedule a meet and greet with Finnea or visit her during our weekly cat adoption event at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd on Saturday from 12-4pm. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
