I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more here Princeton is a young Doberman mix who can start out anxious and vocal in his kennel, showing uncertainty and sensitivity when first meeting new people. He may be hesitant at first, but with a slow, gentle approach he begins to relax and build trust. Once comfortable, Princeton becomes much more social and affectionate. He enjoys calm attention, leans in for pets, and seeks close contact with his handler. He can show some initial leash uncertainty, but generally settles into loose, exploratory walks once he feels secure. He is treat-motivated and responds best to patience and low-pressure interactions. In more relaxed settings, he has shown a sweet, soft side—checking in with his person, enjoying ear scratches, and engaging in quiet exploration. He benefits from space to decompress and the ability to set his own pace when meeting new people or environments. Princeton will do best in a calm, structured adult home with experienced adopters who understand sensitive, undersocialized dogs and can support his confidence-building over time.
