String Bean was an outdoor kitten having a hard time making it on her own. Malnourished and struggling with a severe infection, she took matters into her own paws and cried out night after night until she was rescued. After a few weeks of food and sleep, she transformed into the smart, playful, affectionate little lady she is today. When excited, she’ll greet you with a vibrating “rattlesnake tail.” A ground-hunting specialist, she loves chasing her toy mice and plastic springs and has even shown signs she is a “fetch kitty.” But once she’s worn out, she’ll join you on the couch for sleepy snuggles then fall asleep in your arms. She’s a remarkably well-behaved housemate: not a picky eater, doesn’t scratch furniture, doesn’t try to eat human food, and understands “No” and “Get down.” Overall, she’s a turnkey companion who would make a great first cat.
