About

Meet Moses – Your Independent Little Shadow ❤️ Moses is a 10-year-old Chihuahua with no teeth and a past that hasn't always been kind to him. He's looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to continue learning that people can be trusted and life can be good. This sweet senior isn't the type of dog who wants to be carried around or snuggled up on the couch. In fact, being picked up isn't really his thing. Moses prefers to show his affection in his own way. Once you've earned his trust and he's decided you're a safe human, he's happiest simply hanging out near you, keeping you company, and enjoying your presence. Moses is an old soul who needs a family that understands relationships take time. He won't be an instant best friend, but for someone willing to be patient and let him move at his own pace, the reward is watching him slowly blossom and gain confidence. He's proof that love doesn't always look like cuddles and kisses. Sometimes love looks like a little dog choosing to sit nearby because he feels safe with you. If you're the kind of person who appreciates the quiet victories, respects boundaries, and wants to help a deserving senior dog enjoy the life he's always deserved, Moses may be your perfect match. Give this little old man the chance he's been waiting for, and you'll get the privilege of watching him thrive, one day at a time. ❤️ Moses is looking for a patient heart, a peaceful home, and someone who understands that the best relationships are often the ones worth waiting for. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application , which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com , to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
