07/01/26 11:54 In need of Urgent rescue, not thriving in shelter environment. Dog initially avoided people by retreating to the back of the kennel but has since developed increasing kennel frustration, characterized by persistent barking, pacing, jumping on the kennel door, and alarm barking (FAS 2–3). Outside the kennel, she pulls very hard on leash, seeks out other dogs to fence fight, and displayed concerning behavior toward a male staff member by stiffening, hard staring, alarm barking, and pulling toward him. Volunteer notes also indicate she requires a specific handling procedure to safely return to her kennel. 07/07/26 09:39 What I did today: Cars are pretty scary for me, and today may have been one of my first rides, so my handler was extra patient and gentle getting me settled in. Once we got to the trail, I started off pulling pretty hard, but the longer we walked the more I relaxed, and showed off some good loose-leash walking by the end! I had a blast exploring the backroads and creeks along the way, taking in every new sight and smell. What to know about this dog: • Fearful of car rides and could use more positive, gradual exposure to build confidence • Small but mighty - can be a strong puller but showed some good of loose-leash walking after burning some energy • Strong prey drive, can be a little too interested in small animals -would do best in a home without cats • Loved exploring backroads and creeks - an adventurous spirit who would thrive with active adopters Three words to describe me: Energetic, Playful, Inquisitive
