Klondike is a 6 year old male Anatolian Shepherd / Hound mix with a heart as big as his gentle presence. This sweet, laid-back boy is the very definition of a “gentle giant” - calm, easygoing, and happiest just being by your side. With his adorable spotted coat and big, joyful smile, Klondike lights up the moment you take him out. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys the simple pleasures of life … quiet strolls, soft pets, and soaking up time with his people. At his age, Klondike deserves so much more than a shelter … he deserves a cozy bed, a peaceful home, and a family to love him as much as he’ll love them. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
