Meet Tajin, a 10-month-old, 6.5-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. While he may be shy when meeting new people, those lucky enough to earn his trust know he is an absolute gem of a boy. Once Tajin feels safe and comfortable, he is the ultimate snuggle buddy. He loves curling up with his humans and canine friends, sleeps happily in bed with his foster parents, and is also comfortable resting in his crate. And once you have his heart, prepare yourself for ALL the puppy kisses because this little guy has so much love to give. Tajin absolutely adores other dogs and truly lights up around them. A confident canine companion in his forever home will be the key to helping him continue building confidence and feeling secure. He takes comfort in having a furry friend by his side and would be happiest in a home with another dog to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. Tajin is still gaining confidence with new people, new situations, and walking on a leash, so he will need a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned and who will let him settle in at his own pace. Because he can be easily startled, a securely fenced yard is preferred to provide him with a safe place to explore while he continues to gain confidence. A quieter home would likely be the best fit for Tajin. He might do well with gentle, respectful children around 8 years and older who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, you'll be rewarded with one of the sweetest, most loyal companions you could ever ask for. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
