Max was brought to the shelter on 4/14. While he was understandably stressed during intake and gave a minor bite while being loaded, he has done very well with shelter staff since arriving and has been easy to handle during his daily care and medical treatments. Since coming to the shelter, Max has shown just how resilient he is. He arrived underweight, covered in fleas, and dealing with a painful chronic skin infection, but he has been cooperative with treatment and is currently receiving medication and medicated baths to help him heal. Max also has mild entropion affecting his eye, which will require surgical correction to improve his comfort and quality of life. Despite everything he has been through, Max continues to move forward and has remained gentle and manageable with the people caring for him. Max is looking for a home where he can continue recovering in a calm, stable environment. With proper medical care, consistency, and patience, he has every chance to fully heal and thrive. Max has already shown that he is capable of trusting and adapting, and with the support of the right placement, he can finally get the fresh start he deserves.
