About

Meet Toby Toby is the kind of cat who makes an impression the moment you meet him. This handsome guy is equal parts playful companion and world-class snuggler, wrapped up in one extra-lovable package. Although he's estimated to be around 5 years old, Toby clearly didn't get the memo that adulthood is supposed to slow you down. He still loves to play with the enthusiasm of a much younger cat! Wand toys are a favorite, and you'll often find him leaping around cat trees, batting at dangling toys, and looking downright delighted with life. Toby currently lives with other cats and would love nothing more than to convince them to join his games. Unfortunately, they haven't quite embraced his vision of endless playtime. Their loss! Toby has been incredibly patient with them, but he'd absolutely thrive in a home with a feline friend who shares his playful spirit and energy. When playtime is over, Toby switches seamlessly into cuddle mode. He's deeply devoted to his foster mom—so much so that she affectionately calls him her "momma's boy." The two spend much of their day together while she works, and Toby is always happy to provide moral support, companionship, and the occasional request for affection. Truthfully, though, Toby doesn't reserve his love for just one person. He's a friendly, affectionate cat who enjoys being around people and making new friends. One of Toby's most charming habits is his dramatic flair. Rather than simply lying down, he throws himself onto the floor in an exaggerated flop whenever he wants attention. It's impossible not to smile when he does it. And if the flopping doesn't earn him the affection he deserves? He'll happily add a few adorable trills to make his case. In short, Toby is a champion cuddle bug with a giant heart and plenty of personality. Toby is currently fostered with other cats and does well with them, even if they're not always as enthusiastic about playtime as he is. We don't know whether he's lived with dogs before, but he's a smart, adaptable guy and would likely do well with respectful canine companions. We also think he'd enjoy a home with children who are excited to have a playful, affectionate cat in the family. When Toby first appeared at his foster mom's door, he wasn't feeling his best. He was suffering from a painful rodent ulcer in his mouth, and at first his condition seemed quite serious. Fortunately, Toby proved to be a fighter. With veterinary care, medication, and some detective work to uncover the cause, he made a wonderful recovery. We discovered that Toby has a significant flea allergy, which means he must remain on monthly flea prevention for the rest of his life. As long as that simple routine is maintained, he can continue living his happy, healthy life. The ulcer left a slight change in the appearance of his mouth, but Toby certainly doesn't let it hold him back—and neither should anyone else. If anything, it makes him even more unique. His confidence, affectionate nature, and movie-star good looks shine through in every interaction. Now healthy and ready for his next chapter, Toby is searching for a forever family who will appreciate his playful antics, treasure his endless affection, and happily welcome a cat who believes every day should include both adventure and cuddles. If you're looking for a loyal companion, a dedicated snuggler, and a cat with enough personality to keep you smiling every day, Toby may just be your perfect match. Toby is neutered, FeLV/FIV and heartworm negative, up to date on Rabies and Distemper vaccines, dewormed, flea/tick treated and Microchipped. Litterbox trained. Adoption fee is $150.00.
